Following the post from a few days ago, HTC announced the VIVE XR Elite standalone mixed reality headset at CES. We now know that it will be available in late February for $1100, with pre-orders opening now.

It’s hardware follows current trends, using pancake lenses to reduce size, and being powered by the same Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 processor seen in most other standalone headsets.

The dual LCD displays have a resolution of 1920×1920 each, and “up to 110 degree” field of view.
